Top Places to Visit in Florida

Florida has become firmly established as a top holiday hotspot for British families in recent years.

The fun and adventure of a long haul flight adds a little spice to the mix from the outset but once you get there you find that there is far more to a holiday in America’s hottest state that meets the eye.

Climate

Called the “Sunshine State”, Florida is indeed the warmest state in the whole of the USA as the subtropical climate means that the average daily temperature is 70°F.

More than that, the coastline of the Florida peninsula is over 1,300 miles long with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. This means that there are plenty of beach opportunities for those looking for a more traditional form of relaxation.

Natural Features

Along the huge coastline the low lying land means that inland waters offer unique natural habitats and great opportunities for visitors to have once in a lifetime experiences such as seeing alligators in their natural environment.

Escorted trips around the inland Everglades, one of the most famous national parks in the USA, offer a glimpse of an entirely different world and one which is unique to Florida.

Theme Parks

Although there is a European version called Disneyland just outside Paris and another American Disneyland in California, the Disney World theme park in Florida is on a far larger scale and remains one of the most iconic examples of its kind. With world famous rides aimed at all ages, the sheer scale of entertainment on offer is why people go back again and again.

There are other major ‘theme’ attractions though, include the popular Universal and MGM film studios which offer unique insights into behind the scenes secrets of some of the world’s most famous films.

Orlando

All of these attractions are within easy reach of Orlando, which is nicknamed “The City Beautiful” and claims the title of ‘holiday capital of the world’ for itself.

Orlando Villas are a popular choice for families who prefer a more personal environment than hotels can offer and the city also has many different attractions away from the major entertainment parks.

The famous ‘International Drive’ strip is a must-see destination for serious shoppers with a selection of shopping malls and retail outlets that rival any city in the world.

Accommodation

Of course when it comes to deciding on where to stay there is a wide range of the very best of all types of accommodation. Villas in Florida are plentiful and come with every modern accessory that you could wish for.
